Book Donation Policy
Effective September 1, 2002, the library can no longer accept impromptu donations of books brought to the back door of Boatwright. Persons who wish to donate books that are in excellent condition and that relate to the university's curriculum should contact Jim Gwin (289-8458). Mr. Gwin will work with potential book donors to determine whether or not their books fill a need in the library's collections.
The Friends of Boatwright Memorial Library hope to continue the used book sale in some way. Once a plan for future book sales is in place, donations will once again be very welcome.
The Friends of Boatwright Memorial Library apologize for any inconvenience.
The following local libraries may be interested in book donations:
Richmond Public Library....................................... 646-4256
Bon Air Public Library.......................................... 320-2461
County of Henrico Public Library.......................... 222-1643
Questions about this matter should be directed to James Rettig, University Librarian, 289-8456.
