About Our Service
Librarians will answer IM messages from UR students, staff and faculty from AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, and ICQ. If you use an IM client that is not supported, we'd like to know! IM Service will assist you with brief research questions. If you have a lengthy or involved question, you may be asked to email a librarian or to schedule a personal research appointment.
"IM" Service Hours
Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. - 10 p.m.
IM Response Time Users at the Main Service Desk have priority over IM users. IM users are taken in a first-come, first served order. If you would prefer not to wait, you may always email a librarian.
