Media Resource Center

The Media Resource Center (MRC) is located on the second floor of Boatwright Memorial Library. It provides a variety of media materials for classroom presentations and circulation to students, faculty, and staff. The MRC materials collection includes over 10,000 video titles (DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and videocassettes) and 1,500 audiobooks. Most of these materials may be checked out by patrons with a UR identification card.

Media booking is available to faculty wishing to schedule video items in advance for classroom use. Listening and viewing facilities are also available in the MRC for students completing out-of-class assignments.

The MRC purchases video recordings (DVDs, etc.) to support the instructional needs of the faculty. Some video titles may be previewed to decide if purchasing is advisable and/or rented in lieu of purchasing.

All MRC classrooms, media stations, and Adams Auditorium have permanently installed media equipment.

The MRC is responsible for the cable television programming on UR channels 55, 56, 57, 58. This includes the URTV Movie Channel (channel 55).  The MRC also provides video streaming of selected feature film titles at the request of faculty.

The MRC is now offering an expanded collection of popular audiobook titles available for download!
