Borrow a Kindle

Boatwright Library has 5 separate collections of Kindle "pods" for checkout that are available to current faculty, staff, and students. Each pod has its own unique set of titles.

Borrowing a Kindle and Loan Period

To borrow a Kindle please visit the Boatwright Main Service Desk and present your ID. They are issued on a first come first serve basis. Each Kindle may be borrowed for two weeks. One renewal may be possible depending on demand.

Adding Other Materials

If you are interested in adding additional items to a Kindle including books, newspapers and magazines you can register the Kindle to your own Amazon account while borrowing it. Please note that the Kindle will be reset once returned but you will continue to have access to any items you purchase by downloading the Kindle app for your computer or mobile device.
